  4. Let me preface my answer to your question with an explanation of what I'm looking for. I use the GPB shampoo all the time now except after I've gone swimming. I still use Burt's Bees for that. I'm very happy with the GPB. I would like to find an Aubrey's shampoo that I could use after swimming as well. So my plan is to use a baking soda rinse after swimming and then wash it out with a mild Aubrey's shampoo.

To discover the perfect shampoo for this purpose, I got trial-size bottles of White Camellia (Ultra-Smoothing Shampoo for Dry hair), JAY Desert Herb (Revitalizing Shampoo for dry hair), Camomile Luxurious (Volumizing Shampoo for normal hair), and Primrose and Lavender (Scalp-Soothing Shampoo for sensitive scalps). I would classify my hair as normal, but I'm trying to see how gentle/moisturizing a shampoo I can use for after swimming. I will also try this experiment with my GPB shampoo. I will post results, but I must warn you that I only swam twice in November and am aiming for 3 times in December, so this experiment will take a while.

I used the White Camellia shampoo a couple days ago and I found that it was very gentle - it didn't get the oil out of my hair as well as GPB does. However, I am still open to the possibility that it will be just the thing for getting the baking soda out!

  5. I have come to the conclusion that I should shave my head and this may temporarily solve my shampoo dilemmas. When I do, I will post a pic....=)
